Berwick Residential Support Team
Dan McHugh - College Head, Berwick & Peninsula Residential
Dan was born in Sydney but spent most of his life in Newcastle. He studied a Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Newcastle, and during that time he went on a study tour through Europe and worked at a large architectural firm. He chose to change direction in 2014 and moved to Melbourne to study a Master of Teaching, specialising in Visual Art, Design and History. His interests include music, art, cooking, reading, hanging with friends and meeting new people.
During his time at MRS, Dan has lived and worked at three different campuses. He was a resident and RA at Clayton, Residential Support Advisor and Deputy College Head at Berwick, and is now taking on the role of College Head at Peninsula. He is looking forward to new experiences and supporting the community at Peninsula Residential.
Jess Pimm - Deputy College Head, Berwick Residential
Jess grew up in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne and moved to Clyde North with her husband Steve in 2013. Jess has been working at Monash University Clayton for over 10 years, during that time she has managed to complete a diploma of Animal Technology at Box Hill Institute, a Bachelor of Environmental Science (Wildlife and Conservation Biology) at Deakin University and her Certificate in Personal Training with the Australian Institute of Fitness.
Jess joined the Monash Residential Services Team midway through 2013 in the front office at Clayton and hasn’t looked back since. She enjoys being active, often taking part in fun runs, plays basketball, enjoys gym and walking with friends. A great personal achievement of hers was completing the Oxfam trail walk in 2014 (100km in 48 hours), quite a challenge!
Anaz Aziz- Resident Advisor
Hey, my name is Anas and I was born and raised in Pakistan and decided to move to Melbourne in 2015 to undertake a bachelors degree in Business. It is my second year of my degree as well as living on Berwick residence. Some of my interests include listening to music, dancing and singing along (albeit very poorly), spontaneous road trips with my friends and of course I am a major foodie. I love football (the European kind) and am a proud supporter of Chelsea. I will forever support The Blues. Living on Berwick Residence has allowed me to make many life-long friendships. As RAs we hope that the activities and games that we have in store for you will allow you to make strong friendships.
Tom Morrall - Resident Advisor
Tom was born and bred a Bendigo boy for the first 18 years of his life and has since made Berwick his home. He is in his fourth year of the Bachelor of Education (Honors) at Monash Berwick and has had much involvement with both the Uni and MRS. His interests include music, socialising, working and getting to know people so don't hesitate to approach him or knock on his door even just for a friendly chat.
Tom started his Res years in 2014 and has not moved off since (even in the holidays!) He began living in halls and then eventually moved into the flats so he knows the ins and outs of Res and has experienced what it's like living in different environments and with different people. So please feel free to ask him any questions no matter how big or small.
Tom looks forward to making the last year of Monash Berwick the best year that has ever been by making sure the Berwick Bulls go out with a bang! Bring on 2017!
