Semester one entry

How to apply

Application dates

International students can apply for a place anytime throughout the year. Teaching starts:

  • Semester one: early March
  • Semester two: mid-July

You can check the progress and outcome of your application by logging back into the applicant portal.

Timely applications: Most Year 12 students submit their application and preferences to VTAC by the end of September. There are also late and very late application periods with higher fees.

When you apply through VTAC, your course code should end with the number 3. This identifies you as an international student.

International Baccalaureate students need to ensure you or your school have submitted the results release form to the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO). This is so VTAC can access your results.

  • VCE results and ATAR released online: 15 Dec 2014 (7am)
  • IB Notional ATAR released online: 4 Jan 2015 (4pm)

For a full list of dates and fees, see VTAC dates and payments

Change of preference: When you apply to VTAC, you can change your preferences up until 5 October before the system closes. The system reopens again to give you a chance to review and change your final preferences once you have your Year 12 results.

For final change of preference dates, see VTAC dates and payments.
