Mr Peter Fox was born in Melbourne in 1962, the second of six children to Lindsay and Paula Fox and is the Executive Chairman of Linfox.  Linfox is Australia’s largest privately owned logistics company that is rapidly expanding throughout Asia and New Zealand.

Mr Fox has a Certificate in Effective Distribution Management from the University of New South Wales Australian Graduate School of Management in 1983; Bachelor of Business Degree in Marketing from Chisholm Institute of Technology in 1986 and has undertaken the International Marketing and International Management Program from David Syme Business School in 1986.  Mr Fox has also studied overseas with the Certification of Management from Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia in 1989 and a Graduate Diploma in Owner President Management Program from Harvard University in 1996.

Mr Fox held a wide range of roles across the Linfox business in operational and management positions before his appointment as Executive Chairman in 1994.  He is the Executive Chairman of Fox Group Holdings, Executive Chairman of Linfox Pty Ltd and Executive Chairman of Armaguard.

Mr Fox accepted an appointment to the Australian Prime Minister’s Business Advisory Council in 2013.  He is also a member of the Alfred Foundation, Australian Logistics Council, Victorian Freight and Logistics Council, Victorian Premier’s Business Roundtable and Northern Territory Chief Minister’s Advisory Council.

He was awarded a centenary medal in 2003.  Mr Fox was appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 2011.  He also received an Order of Merit from the Australian Olympic Committee.

Mr Fox is married to Lisa and they have a son James and two daughters, Hannah and Coco.
