We take great pride in the achievements and successes of our alumni.

In addition to our own Distinguished Alumni Awards, there are a number of international award programs held each year to celebrate and recognise the diverse achievements and contributions of international alumni who studied at Monash University or at other Australian universities.

We encourage you to nominate your fellow alumni for these awards or alternatively, please let us know if you would like your name put forward for consideration.

Australia China Alumni Awards

Opening in July each year, the Australia China Alumni Awards recognise and promote the exceptional and diverse achievements of Australian-educated university alumni who are now based in China. The awards are presented to alumni who have achieved exceptional results in their field of endeavour.

Monash University has world-class graduates in China who have been recipients and finalists since these awards began.

Australia Indonesia Alumni Awards

Graduates of Monash living and working in Indonesia are eligible for the Australia Indonesia Alumni Awards. These awards recognise outstanding talent, achievements and contributions made to Indonesia by graduates of any Australian university living and working in Indonesia today.

The awards were first held in February 2008 and are an initiative of Australian Education International at the Australian Embassy in Indonesia. Our University has seen our world-class graduates feature as recipients and finalists in these awards.

To be eligible for nomination, alumni must have studied in Australia for at least 12 months. Alumni do not have to be working in the particular discipline from which they graduated but it is essential to display an
on-going high level of achievement in the award category.

• Sustainable Economic and Social Development
• Excellence in Media, Culture and the Arts
• Excellence in National Defence
• Excellence in National Security
• Entrepreneurship
• Business Leadership and Business Management
• Outstanding Contribution to Public Administration

Singapore Alumni Awards

Australia Education International introduced the Singapore Alumni Awards through the Australian High Commission in Singapore in 2011.

Nominations open in March each year and nomination forms can be found on the Austrade website.

Australian Alumni Excellence Awards - Sri Lanka

An Austrade-organised alumni excellence awards ceremony that recognises Sri Lankans with applied skills and knowledge acquired from an Australia educational institution in their respective fields of expertise.

The event showcases the quality of Australian education and opportunities for developing a global career. Sri Lanka has a strong base of Australian alumni, with the Australian Alumni Excellence Awards acknowledging the efforts and contributions made by former students to enhance the reputation of their institution and alumni community.

Awards are presented in the following categories:
