It was wonderful to be a part of the University's first graduation fortnight celebration in May.

More than 6500 students from 10 faculties graduated over a two week period as Monash University moved to a new format for its Australian graduation ceremonies.

It was the first time the Alumni Relations team were 'on the ground' during graduations. The team hosted a social media photo booth to allow graduates to have their photos taken for free with their family and friends before and after their ceremonies. Photos were then shared on social media and hosted on the Monash Alumni Facebook page.

It was a great opportunity for the team and other Monash staff who helped at the booth to meet our newest alumni. From the new mum graduating with her pharmacy degree to the sisters who graduated with the same degree, we were fortunate to hear so many great stories and get to experience the pride of this special day for both graduands and their families.

You can share in these graduations and view photos by visiting our Facebook page. You can also join in the conversation and share your advice for new graduates via the Monash Alumni LinkedIn Group.

Another week of graduations will take place in October. We look forward to being a part of another wonderful week of celebrations.
