She initially chose roles that indulged her love of travel and cultures – working on pan-European programmes for the likes of Oracle and Deloitte. Her reputation for making complex problems seem simple has resulted in many fascinating roles, from restructuring British Telecom to launching the London Metal Exchange’s clearing house.

It was this love of problem solving and frustration with the women’s shoe industry that led Ms Bowditch to launch Alice Bow insoles – a range of luxury Italian leather insoles made in London. The brand literally went global overnight in 2015 when international press reported that the Duchess of Cambridge was a fan. Now with customers in over seventy countries, the brand provides a platform to educate women and teenagers about foot health in a stylish manner.

Ms Bowditch is an advisor to the United Kingdom government on Brexit strategy for entrepreneurial businesses. She regularly mentors start-ups on behalf of Facebook and various United Kingdom-based entrepreneurial organisations. Her pragmatic approach and cheerleading has resulted in numerous multi-million launches and increased long-term sustainability for many businesses.
