The placement team at Monash Professional Pathways (a division of Monash College Pty Ltd, a private company owned by Monash University) is currently sourcing internship opportunities for Brazil’s most talented students in Science, Engineering and Technology.

The students are participating in the Brazilian Government’s global scholarship program, Science without Borders, and complete an internship or research placement at Monash University as part of their studies.

Monash alumnus Mohan Vallipuram (BSc 1992), Director of Regulatory and Quality Assurance at Eris Pharmaceuticals, hosted a Brazilian intern over the summer.

“Our intern Larissa Corea Laque, commenced with us in early December 2013 and stayed until the end of February 2014,” Mohan said.

“We were impressed with Larissa's work ethic, professional conduct, punctuality and interest in learning new concepts. At the end of her internship she left with a very different and positive view of working in the Pharmaceutical Industry.”

Mohan and his team have already ensured their participation in the 2014 program and will host another scholarship student from Brazil.
