Monash scholarships offered to fill demand for behavioural experts
Monash University and government agency partners are proud to announce that, for the first time in Australia, 18 applied behaviour change PhD scholarships are being offered through the Monash Graduate Research Industry Partnership (GRIP).
Around the world, demand for behaviour change experts is growing as more government and industry organisations begin to recognise that their programs are more likely to succeed if they are underpinned by an understanding of human behaviour - and how to influence it.
The Behaviour Change GRIP not only seeks to meet this demand but develop a new cohort of behaviour change researchers and practitioners with sophisticated and adaptive research skills. In particular, the Behaviour Change GRIP seeks to develop researchers who are able to straddle the worlds of academia and government.
The new GRIP will bring leading government agency partners together with talented PhD candidates to co-design and deliver new interdisciplinary behaviour change approaches to help solve public policy issues.
Successful candidates will be able to select projects that reflect their research interests and be supported by leading Monash University academics from BehaviourWorks, the Monash Sustainable Development Institute, program delivered by leading academics from BehaviourWorks Australia, the Monash Sustainable Development Institute and the Faculties of Engineering, Health, Arts, Business and Economics, Law and Design.
As this is an interdisciplinary program, graduates from a range of different backgrounds and disciplines are encouraged to apply. This is an exciting career opportunity with enormous scope, both nationally and internationally.
