Monforma aims to enrich the discussion among academics by facilitating the free exchange of ideas, as well as promoting and initiating research opportunities within the Management Accounting discipline.
Monforma is a signature event focusing on management accounting, attracting academics from all major Australian universities and many overseas universities active in management accounting research.
It offers a focused technical program, providing participants with the opportunity to present and receive feedback on their work in a constructive environment. Participants find benefit in the diversity of work presented which spans multiple research paradigms. Further, the size of Monforma creates outstanding networking opportunities.
Monforma conferences have featured highly distinguished plenary speakers. The Monforma2016 plenary speakers were Professor Jeffrey Unerman from Royal Holloway, University of London and Michael Williamson from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Previous speakers include Professor Jan Mouritsen, Professor Theresa Libby, Professor Kari Lukka, Associate Professor Kristy Towry, Professor Sally Widener, and Professor Chris Chapman, amongst others.
The Monforma2018 pleanary speakers are Professor Karen Sedatole from Emory University, Goizueta Business School, and Professor Clinton Free from the University of New South Wales (UNSW).
Monforma is proud to provide the opportunity for promising and upcoming early career researchers to present their research, a tradition it endeavours to continue in the future.
