Professor Frank Archer will lead a forum to develop the theme, "From Natural Disasters to Global Health Security and Community Safety". A panel of members with a breadth of experience in Disaster Prevention and Emergency Management ranging over 50 years will examine this theme through the eyes of disaster preparedness across the generations.

The session will draw on key lessons learnt from selected historical events, and will identify contemporary trends and challenges in improving community safety in times of natural disasters and public health emergencies which result in actual/or potential threats to the health status of the community. The event will emphasise Monash University’s engagement with its regional community.
