Why did you choose to study at Monash University?

"I chose Monash as it has the international reputation for quality education and research. I was also interested in decentralisation and school-based management. The presence at Monash of Judith Chapman, who authored various articles on the topic, convinced me to do my PhD here."

Highlights of your time at Monash University?

"My fondest memories of Monash include going to Mt Buller for my first snow with the international students at the Faculty of Education. Rosemary Viete, the International Student Advisor at the Faculty of Education, was instrumental in making our stay at Monash a happy and wonderful experience."

Advice for future students?

"My advice to current graduates who are entering the workforce is to push your limits and get out of your comfort zone. Also, to quote Sandra Carey: 'Never mistake knowledge for wisdom. One helps you to make a living; the other helps you make a life.'"
