Curriculum innovation and the five propositions
Curriculum innovation and the five propositions: Working to strengths in 21st century HPE
Health and Physical Education (HPE) offers great opportunities for students in Australia to develop lifelong health enhancing skills, attitudes, behaviours and strengths around health and movement. As such it plays an important role in the development of confident, creative, active and well informed citizens of the 21st century.
The Australian Curriculum HPE is designed with this in mind and suggests there are five new interrelated propositions upon which teachers could base student success into the future.
This seminar focuses on unpacking and deploying these five propositions in current and future HPE programming, pedagogies and assessment. With a focus on interpreting the propositions and then putting them to work practically this seminar will not only assist you to work out where you are and where you need to be, but also how you are going to get there.
