Academic progress
Academic progress is about keeping you on track with your studies. So twice a year your progress is reviewed to see whether you need any additional support to successfully complete your course.
You can check all information on Academic Progress at the Student Academic Progress page.
Getting help
LANTITE
LANTITE is a compulsory requirement for your course. If you have not sat both tests by the time you have attempted 24 credit points and successfully completed both by the time you have attempted 48 credit points you will be assessed as unsatisfactory.
You are encouraged to engage with the faculty’s Literacy and Numeracy Development Program designed specifically to support you in being successful.
If you require further support, or you are not sure how to proceed, please contact the Literacy and Numeracy Development team at edu.lantitesupport@monash.edu.
Placement support
Professional Practice Consultants (PPCs) provide support to pre-service students during their placement. They also support students who have triggered unsatisfactory progress for reasons relating to placement.
You can contact the PPC team for advice and support related to placement at edu-ppc@monash.edu.
Education Success Advisers
All coursework students enrolled in a Faculty of Education course are assigned a personal Education Success Adviser (ESA). Your ESA can connect you with study or personal support services, provide advice on course maps and enrolment, and work with you to find the best ways to improve your performance.
Contact your ESA for assistance.
Student Rights Officers
You can obtain independent advocacy, advice and assistance from Student Rights Officers (SRO) or campus equivalent. Student Rights Officers can assist with:
- advice on the written response to the Notice of Referral and Hearing,
- preparing for a possible hearing including obtaining evidence to support the written response,
- accompany the student at the hearing, and/or
- advice in relation to appeals against exclusion.
