Internal course transfer into a Faculty of Education course
The following requirements apply to any currently enrolled Monash University coursework students considering to transfer into a Faculty of Education coursework program.
This information does not apply to students wanting to change their fee status or those seeking to transfer to Monash from other institutions.
The Faculty will determine whether places are available for internal course transfers. A student who wishes to apply for an internal course transfer into a Faculty coursework course must meet the admission requirements for that course (e.g. Mathematics, English, other).
The Faculty will assess internal course transfers based on the minimum selection criteria:
|Level||DOTS (Diploma of Tertiary Studies)||Intra (within the Faculty)||Inter (from outside the Faculty)|
a minimum of 48 credit points with a 60% average.
a minimum of 42 credit points in the current year of study.
a minimum of 42 credit points with a 50% average in the current year of study.
a minimum 24 credit points in the current year of study.
a minimum of 24 credit points with a 50% average in the current year of study.
Where the course transfer is to a double degree with Education, the minimum requirements of the other Faculty will also be observed.
Admission to a course on the basis of internal course transfer is subject to a competitive process, the actual requirement for admission may be higher than stated above. Where the minimum selection criteria are not met, additional documentary evidence may be submitted with the internal course transfer application. In exceptional circumstances, this evidence may be considered by the Faculty Manager and Manager, Admissions and Student Services during the selection process.
