Teaching Facilities
Mathematics lab
Peninsula campus' maths lab offers you the latest teaching tools including SMART Boards and a SMART Table - so important, in a time with technology changing the way we learn and interact.
Creative and visual arts
Peninsula campus' arts studio has exceptional facilities: green screen for animations, pottery workroom and kiln, large workbenches, and intimate circular teaching space. We invite local schools to participate in art experiences with our academic staff and pre-service teachers, which gives you the opportunity to work with local teachers and students before you start your teaching placements. The arts programs immerse you in a diverse range of creative and visual experiences that provides great ideas for lesson planning. We teach Arts at Berwick from the multifunction space.
Music spaces
Peninsula campus' soundproofed amphitheatre-shaped music room is richly resourced with a range of western and international instruments and is equipped with a SMART Board. We prepare you to teach music across all ages. We host music workshops with local schools so you graduate ready to give children the skills they need to succeed musically.
Science spaces
We provide you with hands-on practical ideas and science resources for use in your lesson planning during teaching practicums. Our science spaces are equipped with SMART Boards and the latest SMART Technologies software. Clayton campus has science laboratories that mirror what you will find in senior secondary schools. Peninsula campus' classroom and laboratory are laid-out similarly to those at primary schools. Berwick campus has a multifunctional space catering for science, art and music providing wet and dry areas similar to what you would find in junior secondary schools.
