eEducation team

Professor Gordon Sanson is the founding Director of the eEducation Centre. Previously as Head of the School Biological Sciences in the Faculty of Science, Professor Sanson led a number of innovative teaching and learning programs that effectively engaged industrial partners in the development and production of new teaching technologies in science. He brings with him a unique set of skills as an educator, leader and innovator, who is also engaged in active research and is committed to improving student engagement at all levels.

Nathan Bailey has been involved with the Internet since 1990, was the architect of Monash's staff and student portal, my.monash (http://my.monash.edu/), and currently oversees a range of educational projects and activities as Associate Director of Monash's eEducation Centre. Nathan has presented at a number of national and international conferences on learning and ICT in higher education. He has also conducted professional computer training and ran his own consulting business. He is passionate about delivering services that save people time, are easy to use and help Monash to achieve its mission.

Kerryn Morey is the Executive Officer at the eEducation Centre. Kerryn has worked at Monash University for six years. Her previous roles have been as the International Programs Officer at the Faculty of Law and as the Administrative Manager at the Monash Prato Centre in Italy.

Christina Thor is the Administration Officer at the eEducation Centre. Christina provides high level administrative assistance, event management, procurement and communications to the eEducation Centre. Prior to this, Christina has worked at 2Significance as Client Relationship Manager, where she provided high level client service and relationship support to clientele and key centres of influence. She has honed business administration, tax and valuation expertise from her experience in KPMG and Interbrand. Christina is excited about putting these into practice in running her own business in dance fitness.

Amelia Bail is the eEducation Centre's Administrative Officer (a job she shares with Christina Thor) and is one of the Centre's newer staff members. Amelia has extensive administration experience in both the private and public sector, including time with Swinburne University's Faculty of Design, the Melbourne International Arts Festival and various recruitment and project management roles with leading recruiter Morgan & Banks.

Katharina Franke manages the research program at the eEducation Centre. To her role as Research Coordinator, she brings a general enthusiasm for learning, acquiring new skills, and researching emerging trends.

Chris Hagan leads the eEducation software production team. He brings years of programming experience from Thoughtworks and freelance work, coupled with tenacity and vision. He has handpicked his team and maintains personal involvement on every level of the projects in his purview. He is also a certified and experienced nurse.

Dave Hagan has taught Drama, Photography, Graphics, English and International Studies to secondary students at Western Port Secondary College for nearly three years preceding his appointment with the Centre. During that time he was responsible for implementing and maintaining the computerised student reporting system as well as training other staff in its use. He has been highly involved in the Performing Arts, both on stage and off. He is now responsible for Systems Administration, Tech-Support Co-ordination and Graphic Design.
