Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Design (Industrial Design)
Nedzad Mujcinovic graduated in 2010 with honours with a Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Design (Industrial Design).
Upon graduating, Nedzad felt he had successfully completed a chapter of his life.
“There was certainly a sense of accomplishment. However, there was also a bit of sadness for leaving university family and friends behind, knowing that the same lifestyle will never return.”
Nedzad is currently working as a creative car designer. Car designers are responsible for the design and development of vehicles’ look, feel and function.
“A car is just about the only product that everyone has an opinion on and a feeling towards. I hope that through car design I can genuinely contribute towards improving people’s lives by provoking positive feelings through design and conserving resources through efficiency.”
Nedzad has found that he is able to apply his Monash Engineering education to all areas of his professional career.
“Every little bit of my education at Monash University gets used in one form or another. I tend to utilise Mechanical Engineering to support some of my adventurous ideas in Industrial Design.”
Since graduating, Nedzad has made a big move to Germany to work with the Opel Design team. “I hope to keep growing and learning in my profession for many years to come”.
Nedzad has fully realised his dream as a car designer and has some sound advice for other wishing to accomplish their dreams and aspirations.
“Have dreams and believe in them. Utilise your University education and all resources available to you to achieve your dreams. The key in achieving them is ‘you’.”
