After completing your Monash engineering studies, we want all graduates to be highly skilled and ready to offer your contribution to industry. Throughout the course of your studies, you’ll have several opportunities to learn about and actually experience what it’s like to be an engineer.
Creating well-rounded engineers
Outstanding academic performance is not always first on an employer's must-have list; first and foremost, many employers want graduates who are highly skilled, well-rounded individuals. Many employers place interpersonal and communication skills, critical reasoning and problem-solving skills, as well as passion, at the top of their list.
The Monash Engineering Leadership Program is a three-year extra-curricular program that will prepare you to be a leader in your chosen engineering field. The program engages extensively with the private sector through interactive workshops, networking sessions and the provision of scholarships.
Work Ready Program
The Work Ready Program equips you with job application skills to help secure employment. Together with your degree, this program will help to give you the edge in a competitive employment market. Learn about job seeking and networking, brush up on interview skills, and hear from a panel of industry representatives as they share some of their experiences.
Monash industry team initiative
As an undergraduate or postgraduate student, the Monash industry team initiative gives you an opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with leading Australian and global industry partners.
