Madeleine coordinates industry engagement for the faculty of Engineering and the faculty of Information Technology. Madeleine assists organisations wishing to engage with Monash University, including engagement with the Monash Industry Partnership Program and the Monash Industry Team Initiative. She has spent a number of years in the commercial and project engineering environment working in industries such as chemical, industrial and oil and gas both in Australia and overseas. Madeleine is passionate about working with engineers of the future, raising the profile of engineers in the wider community and ensuring the long term success of the profession.
Marc collaborates with industry for projects at Monash Engineering, drawing on the wide-ranging and significant talent of researchers in the faculty. Marc works in partnership with the leadership team of Monash Engineering and aligned institutes and centres to deliver mutually beneficial research projects with our industry partners. He supports interdisciplinary research and develops meaningful relationships with external organisations including industry, government and community partners. Marc has over 25 years of experience in Infrastructure, Manufacturing and Services in Australia and internationally as an Electrical Engineer, Project Manager and Business Development Executive. He has worked in management and delivery of power sector development projects, maintenance of large infrastructure assets and project management within the commercial construction sector. Within the Services Sector Marc has held senior HR positions and more recently Stakeholder management and Business Development roles.
Shankar works closely with the Associate Dean of Research to build the commercially focused research activities of the faculty. He also works across Monash University to foster a strong collaboration with the food, agriculture and manufacturing businesses. Shankar holds both, science (BSc) and technology (MTECH) qualifications and his experience spans multiple sectors including manufacturing, agribusiness, government, and research services in Australia and New Zealand. He has over 18 years of experience delivering solutions to considerable R&D, regulatory and business challenges. The organisations he has worked for include: The Victorian Centre for Sustainable Chemical Manufacturing, Coca Cola Amatil/SPC Ardmona, Food Standards Australia New Zealand, NZ Pork, and Plant & Food Research.
