Meeting rooms

Meetings rooms are located on each floor of the New Horizons (NH) buildings.Each of these rooms is bookable via the Monash Google Calendar system. The naming convention for these facilities is as follows: NewHoriz-Meeting Room 82_xxx

Monash NH occupants can book these rooms via their Google calendar. For information on how to book a room via Google Calendar, please click here.

Please note that to book a New Horizons room via Google Calendar, you must be an occupant in the building and have your office location recorded in the Monash MIDS database. If you are experiencing issues with this, please log an IT job with eSolutions.

The meeting rooms in NH are as follows:

Note * These rooms are equipped with video conference and presentation systems with dual 46 inch LCD screens. The rooms are fitted with local desktop and blu-ray player, SMART tablet with stylus for interaction / annotation of on-screen content and infra red rearing augmentation. Capacity of rooms 12 people.

CSIRO users can view the room bookings at calendar resources. The following CSIRO staff have access to make bookings for these rooms:

If not booked, the meeting rooms can be used by any occupant of NH.

Seminar rooms

The calendar below shows the availability of the New Horizons Seminar Rooms and the Collaboration Lounge. Use the drop down arrow on the top left of the calendar to change the date. To change your view of the calendars to either weekly or monthly, use the tabs in the top right corner. The drop down arrow also in the right corner allows you to select the room calendars you wish to view.

Bookings for the seminar rooms on the ground floor and fourth floor can be made by completing this form. Any other enquiries regarding bookings for the seminar rooms can be directed to nhevents@monash.edu.

Overview of seminar rooms in New Horizons Building

Breakout spaces

Each floor has a breakout space which is NOT bookable. This area has tea and coffee making facilities and is designed for informal conversations. Students and staff are encouraged to use these facilities when chatting with their colleagues. These facilities must be maintained by those using the rooms.

Lounge

A large staff room is located on the fourth floor of the building. The room is available to all New Horizons occupants throughout the day, however may be booked for special events by completing this form. Any other enquiries regarding bookings for the lounge can be directed to nhevents@monash.edu.

Tea, coffee and milk supplies for the lounge are replenished on a weekly basis. The lounge is also equipped with the usual lunchtime facilities. Users of the lounge are responsible for the daily maintenance of the facility.
