Section 2 - Salaries and Related Matters
71. Electrical Compliance Safety Certificate System
In recognition of new government re gulations regarding the compliance certification system and the extra work, responsibility and accountability imposed upon licensed Electrical Trades Persons, the following will apply:
71.1 All licensed Electricians as defined by the office of the Chief E lectrical Inspector will be paid an all purpose allowance of $21.00 per fortnight.
71.2 All time required by licensed Electricians to fully comply with the Electrical Safety (Installations) Regulations 1999 will be provided and paid by the University.
71.3 All costs incurred in complying with the Regulations will be borne by the University.
71.4 Paid training leave as required will be provided to licensed Electricians for refresher training on the requirements of the regulations. All course, training ma nuals, text books, regulations and standards will be reimbursed by the University.
71.5 The University will only introduce safety management schemes after consultation . |
