This part applies to the following categories of trades and services staff: Carpenters, Electricians, Fitters, Oiler/Greasers, Painters, Plant Attendants, Plumbers, Store Attendants (as defined under clause 3); and Trade Assistants

73. High Voltage Operators Licence Allowance

A staff member required to hold and act on a High Voltage Operator's Licence, will be paid an allowance of $5.00 per day for each day worked or on High Voltage Availability Operator Duty, regardless of whether or not required to act on the licence on any given day.

Provided that a High Voltage Operator will only receive the High Voltage Operators Licence allowance on the successful completion of the ne cessary statutory course and an additional period of on-site training sufficient to satisfy the staff member's supervisor that the required level of proficiency and understanding of the University's procedures and establishment has been achieved.
