Smiling Mind

Smiling Mind is modern meditation for young people. It is a unique web and app-based program, designed to help bring balance to young lives.

The Check-in app (developed by beyondblue)

For those who want to check in with a friend but are concerned about saying the wrong thing or making the situation worse. The app takes you through four steps, super easy and super quick, getting you to think about where you might check in, what you might say and how might you support your friend. There is also a section showing you things to consider, such as what if my friend denies there is a problem or what if I say something silly.

The Desk

Thedesk is an online interactive program developed by the University of Queensland and funded by beyondblue. There are tools to help you with everyday issues such as problem-solving, how to challenge unhelpful or negative thoughts and tips for relaxation. Monash has registered with thedesk so you also have access to a an online forum called the Coffee House where you can post artwork, music, recipes or recommend great food places close to campus.

What works 4 you

Whatworks4u.org aims to improve treatment for young people with mental health problems by gathering information about what works in the real world. Those with mental health problems can help build knowledge about symptoms and treatments by reporting on the success of treatments, health professionals and experienced side effect.

eheadspace

eheadspace is a confidential and secure space where young people 12 - 25 or their family can chat, email or speak on the phone with a qualified youth mental health professional.

mindhealthconnect

mindhealthconnect is an innovative site dedicated to providing access to trusted, relevant mental health care services including stress, anxiety and depression

Man therapy

Start talking about your manly man issues in a manly way. Man therapy is a campaign designed by beyondblue to challenge the 'Aussie bloke' to address mental health issues surrounding depression and anxiety in a bid to reduce suicides.

Black Dog Institute

The Black Dog Institute is a world leader in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mood disorders such as depression. In collaboration with WHO to mark World Mental Health Day, writer and illustrator Matthew Johnstone tells the story of overcoming the black dog of depression.

ReachOut.com

ReachOut.com is an online youth mental health service that helps under 25s with everyday questions through to tough times.
