Confidentiality agreements

Confidentiality agreements (CDAs) or Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) are contracts between two or more parties. They allow for the confidential disclosure of information between those parties for a specific purpose.

In general, Monash will arrange an agreement at the start of discussions between the University and potential commercial partners. By creating the agreement, Monash prevents confidential information from either side becoming public knowledge.

The Industry Engagement and Commercialisation Group is responsible for arranging confidentiality agreements. Please email if you are a researcher needing a CDA or NDA.

Individual researchers are not authorised to sign these agreements on behalf of the University. A list of staff who can sign agreements (staff only) on behalf of Monash is available.
