The Monash Infrastructure (MI) institute works with industry and government partners to facilitate research and education initiatives across Monash University's extensive knowledge and physical resources in infrastructure.
Monash Infrastructure’s themes are transport, water, structures, information and communications, and planning and management. MI also includes two leading industry-facing institutes - Institute of Railway Technology and Maintenance Technology Institute.
Monash Infrastructure also incorporates two leading institutes dedicated to providing research services to industry. In the transport theme is the Institute of Railway Technology and in the structures theme is the Maintenance Technology Institute.
This group constitutes a team of leaders in their respective fields of infrastructure research. The Monash Infrastructure theme coordinators and institute directors are well placed to bring together key researchers from Monash University and potential partners across industry and government.
