• Monash University offers a free airport reception service to all new Monash University international students.
• The service includes delivery to your nominated place of accommodation.

Arranging airport reception

Airport reception request form

Please complete and submit a request form to arrange your free airport reception.

• The request form must reach the student advisers at the Hub on your campus at least three working days before your arrival date.
• Reception or accommodation cannot be guaranteed without a completed form. Please note: The office is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
• Keep a copy of your completed form for your reference.
• If you are studying at Monash College or at the Monash University English Language Centre, please select 'Monash College' as your campus.
• Once you book your airport reception using the form, you will receive a confirmation email.

Family members

Family members arriving with you can use this service for free. Please enter the details of the family members, as required in the application, to ensure they can be picked up at no extra cost.

Cancellation fee

• Please advise Monash of any change to your plans
• Students who book airport reception and temporary accommodation assistance but do not arrive to use the service will be charged a cancellation fee of A$100.

Arriving at Melbourne Airport

Melbourne International Airport

• A representative of Monash will meet you in the international terminal.
• If you are in the domestic terminal, ask the airport staff to direct you to the international terminal.
• The domestic terminal is a short walk from the international terminal (around 5 to 10 minutes walk).
• The confirmation email you received after booking your airport reception includes the phone number you should call if your driver is not waiting for you.
