Globally-relevant education
Excellence and diversity
A strong and equitable nation requires the finest possible education to be available to the finest students, regardless of means. We believe undergraduate degrees should be sufficiently rigorous and comprehensive to equip undergraduates for the global workforce, and provide opportunities for further specialist postgraduate study. Our degrees do just that.
Monash has made a clear statement in its 2025 vision: We will admit students on merit and they will be amongst the most able of their generation. The very best, judged by our own criteria, will be admitted irrespective of their means and circumstances. When they graduate they will be equipped to live, learn, work and contribute globally.
Monash is committed to further enhancing the quality of undergraduate education, to provide undergraduate programs that are among the best in the country.
Monash is also revitalising its postgraduate curricula. We believe postgraduate degrees should not be devalued by absorbing undergraduate curricula -- but should be sophisticated and research-led.
Monash University will become a powerhouse in research training for each nation in which we have campuses. We will use our international reach to develop the next generation of leaders researchers and innovators for the good of the global communities we serve.
