International Student Friendship Program (ISFP)

The ISFP matches international students with local volunteers and their families for the purpose of developing cross-cultural friendships. You will have the opportunity to practise your English and you may even see parts of Melbourne and Victoria that you wouldn't know about. Think global, meet locals!!
Language Exchange Program

Details: Practice your language skills by participating in an extremely rewarding volunteer program! We welcome all languages/levels and currently have a large demand for native Japanese, German and Spanish speakers. You will be matched with a native English speaker who wishes to learn your language and is willing to assist you with English communication. Minimum commitment: 1 hour of language exchange per week.
MPA Postgraduate English Conversation Group

Details: Come along for lively and informal discussions on a range of topics. Learn what Aussie words like "daggy" mean and meet other international postrgrads. And don't forget to ask for your free MPA pen. Held in the Meeting Room in the MPA Office, 1st Floor, Campus Centre.

Wesley Do Care - Friendly Visitor Volunteer Program

Details: Friendly visitors over eighteen required by WESLEY DO CARE for elderly people and people with disabilities for one hour a week. Visits can be flexible depending on availability of the volunteer. We will match you with someone in Monash with similar interests. WESLEY DO CARE provides training and on-going support. Our volunteers say they "get back more than they give" and often genuine lasting friendships develop.
