Off-Campus Accommodation

Students who prefer to live off-campus will have to find their own accommodation but can obtain advice and assistance from Monash Residential Services. It can be tricky to find accommodation for just one semester because most residential leases in Victoria are for 12 months. However there is a very wide range of shared student accommodation available all over Melbourne, especially near the major universities, and most exchange and study abroad students are able to find off-campus accommodation.

Students who want to live off-campus should be advised to arrive in Melbourne 1-2 weeks before orientation starts and be prepared to travel quite long distances to get to the Clayton campus, as there is less accommodation available around Clayton than in other parts of Melbourne .
