Online Dispute Resolution

We are pleased to announce that in 2017 Monash Law will be offering Australia’s first unit dedicated to Online Dispute Resolution (ODR). Taking a hands-on and interdisciplinary approach, the unit will examine the emergence of ODR, the range of technologies involved and the contexts in which they are applied. It will explore critical questions about the impact of ODR on access to justice and the work of lawyers, in addition to design, regulation and governance. The unit will equip students with practical approaches for assessing the performance of ODR systems.
