Description of Organisation
AED Legal Centre is a specialist community legal centre located in the Melbourne CBD. The main objective of the Centre is to protect and advance the rights of people with a disability who experience difficulties and/or discrimination in education or employment because of their disability as well as people with a disability who are seeking review of their NDIS plans. We also assist people with a disability in making submissions or engaging with the Disability Royal Commission.
The Centre is a member of the Federation of Community Legal Centres of Victoria.
Number of legal positions within organisation:
2 full time and 4 part-time
Student placements and volunteering opportunities are available subject to supervision, space and resources.

Do you host school trips or send speakers to schools?
At the schools request, we do send out speakers to schools. The speaker would talk to students about disability awareness and human rights.

What sort of volunteer opportunities are available?
Volunteer opportunities are available upon request. However, this is dependent upon on work space availability. We participate in a several internship programs with universities for law students.
