About the Series

Throughout 2017, the Monash Centre for Commercial Law and Regulatory Studies (CLARS) in the Faculty of Law, in conjunction with the Federal Court of Australia, Commercial Bar Association, Victorian Bar and the Law Institute of Australia will hold seminars covering current commercial law topics. The seminars will be of interest to the legal fraternity, students and the general public.

Topic: Quarter century of class actions in the Federal Court

This panel of experts in class actions will discuss the lessons we have learned in the 25 years since the
enactment of Part IVA of the Federal Court of Australia Act 1976 (Cth) and their expectations as to what
the future may hold for class action litigation.
