In the clinic

The Clinical Translation Facility comprises our clinician-researchers and translation experts, together with a network of specialised clinics and clinical partners. It provides the expertise and infrastructure to rapidly translate new research findings into tangible improvements in health.

For example, the soon-to-be established Monash University Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Clinic will provide comprehensive assessment and state-of-the-art non-pharmacological treatment that is individually tailored for those experiencing depression. MICCN will also be establishing the addiction and compulsive behaviours clinic which will provide tailored treatments for addictive and compulsive problem behaviours. These new clinics will build on the Monash University Healthy Sleep Clinic which treats insomnia and body clock disorders, and the Monash-Epworth Rehabilitation Research Centre, a global leader in the treatment of traumatic brain injury

The Clinical Translation Facility also provides specialised clinical training to doctoral students in Clinical Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology, ensuring that MICCN doctoral graduates are as skilled in the clinic as they are at the bench. Our training programs are helping address Australia's psychology workforce shortage.
