Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP) InformationAs a result of a change of policy brought in by the new Commonwealth Government, full-fee university places will no longer be available from the beginning of 2009 for domestic students (Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens, students with humanitarian visas, and Australian permanent residents). This will have an impact on you as a Monash College student, should your results throughout your study of Part 2 Diploma units not reach the required level for a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP or the old HECS) in your destination Faculty.
The marks required for your course are as follows: FOR DIPLOMA OF BUSINESS STUDENTS: In order to be considered for a Commonwealth Supported Place at Monash University, the following average grades must be achieved in Part 2 of your Monash College Diploma:
Please note that no Commonwealth Supported Places will be available for students who intend to commence their Monash University degree in the second semester of a given year. FOR DIPLOMA OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY STUDENTS: In order to be considered for a Commonwealth Supported Place at Monash University, the following average grades must be achieved in Part 2 of your Monash College Diploma:
Limited Commonwealth Support Places may be available for students who intend to commence their Monash University degree in the second semester of a given year. FOR DIPLOMA OF ENGINEERING STUDIES STUDENTS: In order to be considered for a Commonwealth Supported Place at Monash University, you must achieve a credit (60 per cent) average in Part 2 of your Monash College Diploma. Limited Commonwealth Support Places may be available for students who intend to commence their Monash University degree in the second semester of a given year. FOR DIPLOMA OF ARTS STUDENTS: In order to be considered for a Commonwealth Supported Place at Monash University, you must achieve a credit (60 per cent) average in Part 2 of your Monash College Diploma. Limited Commonwealth Support Places may be available for students who intend to commence their Monash University degree in the second semester of a given year. FOR DIPLOMA OF ART AND DESIGN STUDIES: In order to be considered for a Commonwealth Supported Place at Monash University, you must achieve a 65 per cent average in Part 2 of your Monash College Diploma. Limited Commonwealth Support Places may be available for students who intend to commence their Monash University degree in the second semester of a given year. Information SessionsMonash College initiated a dedicated support program which included various information sessions and one-to-one couselling throughout June and into July. Field of Study Managers, Student Advisors and the Monash College Course Advisor are all available to assist you with specific questions you may have.
