Course packaging (diploma + degree)

International students can go from Monash College to Monash University without having to reapply for a new student visa.

Course packaging saves time and money

Course packaging means Monash provides you with a 'packaged offer' for two or more Monash courses.

With a packaged offer, you can commit to all your Monash courses before you enrol in your first course and apply for a student visa for the duration of your studies.

International students planning to study a Monash University degree after Monash College, or planning to study a Monash University English Language Centre course before their Monash College diploma, can 'package' all their courses together for visa purposes.

If you do not package the courses, the Australian government requires you to apply for separate student visas for each course. This means you may have to return to your home country between courses in order to obtain a new student visa as well as pay additional student visa application costs (currently A$420).

Course package for Monash University

To be accepted for a Monash University course package:

• you will be assessed for each course you wish to complete
• eligibility for the principal* course will be determined either by previous academic qualifications or by the successful completion of your preliminary^# English or diploma course
• you must pay the fee for any preliminary^# course and an initial payment for your principal course

* Principal course means your intended bachelor degree.
# Preliminary course means the Monash College diploma before your degree or English studies before Monash College.

Course package for Monash College and Monash University English Language Centre

To package Monash College and Monash University English Language Centre you must:

• submit a separate application for each – if successful, you will be sent an offer package containing acceptance documents and detailed information about fees and fee payment methods
• pay the entire cost of the Monash University English Language Centre course, plus the initial payment for Monash College before a Confirmation of Enrolment is issued

Course package for Monash College and Monash University

To package Monash College with a Monash University degree:

• indicate that you want to package your courses by completing the 'Application details' section of the College application form
• tick your preferred bachelor degree in the 'Monash University degree' section of the form
• pay the Monash College initial payment, and a A$1,000 deposit towards the university degree, so a Confirmation of Enrolment can be issued

You do not need to submit a separate application for Monash University.
