* Trimester 3 Electives should be consistent with intended Monash University degree requirements

For the Bachelor of Computer Science, the elective unit must be Mathematics for Engineers MCD4170 from the Diploma of Engineering Studies

For the Bachelor of Software Engineering, the elective unit must be Mathematics for Engineers MCD4170 from the Diploma of Engineering Studies

For the Bachelor of Business Information Systems, the elective unit must be from those provided by the Faculty of Business and Economics

For the Bachelor of Information Technology and Systems - For all majors, or no major, students can elect to undertake any Monash College Part 2 unit.

^ Students who intend to progress into the Bachelor of Computer Science or the Bachelor of Software Engineering do not have the option to undertake MCD3280 Computer Programming 2, and must undertake MCD3220 Systems Analysis and Design.

* Trimester 4 Electives should be consistent with intended Monash University degree requirements

For the Bachelor of Computer Science, students can elect to undertake any Monash College part2 unit except MCD3280 Computer Programming 2

For the Bachelor of Software Engineering, the second elective unit must be Engineering Profession MCD4230 from the Diploma of Engineering Studies

For the Bachelor of Business Information Systems, the elective unit must be from those provided by the Faculty of Business and Economics

For the Bachelor of Information Technology and Systems with majors (Applications Development and Networks - Multimedia Games Development - System Development), the elective unit must be MCD3280 Computer programming 2. For all other majors, or no major, students can elect to undertake any Monash College Part 2 unit.
