Monash College Unit GuideBASIC DESIGN STUDIO B (MCD1290)PurposeThis unit provides students with a foundation in three-dimensional design. It introduces students to the basic skills, processes, materials and equipment necessary to the practice of design. The unit comprises a series of theoretical and practical exercises. Projects and class exercises have been formulated to encourage the student to explore three-dimensional form in a confident and competent manner. Historical and contemporary examples of design will be examined, analyzed and discussed. This is achieved through research, lectures, demonstrations and practical application.
