UNDERSTANDING HUMAN BEHAVIOUR (MCD6030)
Purpose
This unit is designed to develop an understanding of the human mind and to enable students to apply skills to a range of behavioural and cognitive issues.
Prerequisites
Nil
Learning outcomes
On completion of this unit students should be able to:
- Be aware of the complexity of human behaviour and have an appreciation
of the issues related to understanding and measuring some of these behaviours.
- Be aware of some of the theories which attempt to explain human processes,
particularly those related to perception, consciousness, learning, memory,
motivation, emotion, thinking, disorders and therapy.
- Be able to relate theories of human behaviour to their own life experiences
and possible areas of future work.
