Dr. Jennie Oxley is a Senior Research Fellow who has been involved in many areas of road safety since commencing at MUARC in 1990. Jennie’s main research interest is in the field of human factors psychology, particularly applying this to the safety and mobility of vulnerable road users. Her current research interests include the role of behavioural and functional factors on crash and injury risk, and development of innovative measures to improve safety of vulnerable road users. Recent projects include identification of at-risk older drivers, gender effects on crash risk, older driver self-regulation, road design and infrastructure for older road users, the effect of cognitive impairment on pedestrian crash risk, and identification of contributory factors to child pedestrian crash risk and development of road-crossing training packages. |
