Entry requirements and applications

There are three requirements for entry into Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY):

  1. English language requirements
  2. Age entry requirement
  3. Academic entry requirement

English language entry requirement

  • Standard program: IELTS 5.5 or equivalent, with no band less than 5.0
  • Accelerated program: IELTS 6.0 or equivalent, with no band less than 6.0
  • Extended program: IELTS 5.0 or equivalent, with no band less than 5.0

Age entry requirement

You must be at least 17 years of age by 31 December 2006 to be eligible for admission to Monash University in 2007, unless you have achieved academic results that place you in the top 15 per cent of the qualified academic pool.

If you do not meet the above criteria, but would otherwise have been offered a place, you will be offered a deferred place to be taken up when the age criterion is met.
