Whether it is the meandering line of a pen, a drip of oil paint, a deeply etched mark, or a performative, bodily gesture, the creative process is often communicated through the materials with which an artwork is made. Featuring the work of Angela Brennan, Stephen Bush, Mira Gojak, Lizzie Hall, Silvana Mangano and Gabriella Mangano, Linda Marrinon, Tim McMonagle, John Nixon, Adam Pyett, Neil Roberts, Madonna Staunton, Michael Taylor and Aida Tomescu, this exhibition explores the way in which process and materials can be central to the purpose and meaning of a work of art.
