Elizabeth Yuriev
Dr Yuriev is a Senior Lecturer in Medicinal Chemistry at the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Elizabeth’s research outcomes include 90 research papers in peer-reviewed journals, 5 book chapters, and 2 edited books. In the last 5 years, Dr Yuriev has developed a significant interest in educational scholarship. Her work focuses on innovations to improve learning and teaching of employability skills, with an emphasis on skill development in problem solving, collaboration, and study skills.
Her achievements in education innovation have been recognised with numerous awards in the last 10 years: from her students, Faculty and Vice-Chancellor awards, and national Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning (The Australian Learning and Teaching Council, 2008).
She was awarded a Monash Teacher Accelerator award in 2016 and is influencing the quality of pharmacy and science education through her scholarly research, mentoring, presentations, and publications. Elizabeth has published her findings in Journal of Chemical Education, Chemistry Education Research and Practice, Higher Education Research & Development, and other journals.
