The new Monash Doctoral Program in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences

Our unique doctoral program offers you a range of experiences to enhance your research outcomes and prepare you for a career impacting global health. You will tackle a research question over 3-4 years. The culmination of which is a research thesis (of no more than 80,000 words).

As we guide you through your graduate research journey, you will be prepared with the professional and discipline specific skills you need for a career in Australia or internationally. You will also complete an advanced course in Drug Discovery and Development.

Your choice

In addition to the research and skills training components of your degree, you will access one of four enhanced research experiences.

1 - Laboratory rotation: Start your candidature with three co‐ordinated laboratory rotations. These rotations may be aligned to a preferred project or reflect a range of disciplines you wish to explore before selecting your project and supervisor.

2 - Interdisciplinary research: Conduct your research in at least two discipline areas with supervisors from different research areas, departments or institutes.

3 - Placement program: Undertake a placement in an external institution, potentially internationally, gaining experience in a different research environment.

4 - Joint award PhD program: Undertake a joint international PhD program with top ranked UK universities, The University of Nottingham and The University of Warwick
