Nobel Laureate visit

Join 2009 Nobel Prize winner, Professor Elizabeth Blackburn AC at two free public events during her visit to Monash University.

As Australia's first female Nobel Laureate, Professor Blackburn is recognised as one of world's most distinguished molecular biologists. She is renowned for her study of the molecular nature of telomeres - the structures protecting the ends of chromosomes - and for discovering the enzyme telomerase. Telomeres are a crucial part of the ageing puzzle. The recipient of numerous prestigious awards for scientific achievement and public service, Professor Blackburn was honoured as the 2009 Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine.
