Cooperative Research CentresMonash University is committed to strengthening its ties with the broader community to maximise the potential benefits of our research activities. Cooperative Research Centres (CRCs) are an excellent vehicle for facilitating knowledge transfer. Monash is a strong supporter of the CRC program and is a participant in more than 18 CRCs. Senator Kim Carr, the new Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research, has announced that a review of the National Innovation System has been established to recognise the importance of innovation in Australia. As part of this broader review, the CRC Program will also be reviewed. Once the Government has considered the outcomes of the review, the next CRC selection round will be held. This is expected to occur in the last quarter of 2008, with the intention to complete the next selection round by mid-2009. If you are considering submitting CRC proposals please to register your interest with: Dr David Lyster Guidelines on Monash Involvement with CRCs (doc 36kb, pdf 24kb) Dept of Innovation, Industry, Science & Research: Cooperative Research Centres
