Research Office - ROPES - How Do I Get My Data Fixed?

Recall that ROPES is not a database in itself, but rather a presentation medium by which data from the University's three Enterprise databases (SAP, Callista and ResearchMaster) is rendered, on the web.

If you detect an error or omission in your data, it is helpful to know which source database the information to be edited is stored on - and to know which managing unit is responsible for performing the required edit(s).

The chart on the previous page indicates:

  • Type  of data (in bold)
  • Data Source  i.e. the database where this data must be updated
  • Brief Description  of what that type of data may include
  • Managing Unit  - who is responsible for performing the edit on your behalf.

Note:  Publications and Ethics entry responsibility is Category dependent - meaning that depending on the category selected, different managing units are responsible for actioning your update.

Data fixes are purposely divided into the four types for easier processing. Selecting to amend a particular type immediately takes you to the respective form for that type. If your data fixes involve several types, simply revisit the page as often as you like to select and submit the form for the specific update required.
