About Research Month
When is it?
Monday 18 August to Friday 19 September
What is Research Month?
During Monash Research Month you are encouraged to discover the great minds and innovative thinking that generate leading edge research at Monash.
When Monash was created 50 years ago its vision was to be a first class research university. More than that, it would be a university that reached out, engaging with its community and making a difference to Australian industry. This vision is even more relevant today. We don't want the knowledge we create to remain locked up. We want it to have an affect on the lives of Australians and people around the world.
Research Month has been established to share our achievements and show our staff and students, and the wider community why research matters.
A wide range of events and programs have been developed for Research Month, including:
- Public lectures and seminars
- Information sessions for future research students
- Professional development opportunities for current researchers
- A poster exhibition highlighting some of the best work of our current research students
