Work Placements
Work placements provide an opportunity for Green Steps participants to hone their environmental skills on real issues in a workplace. They are only part of the Green Steps university course and are a requirement for the successful completion of that course.
Students undertake a work placement of a minimum of 12 days (often 3-4 days per week over several weeks) and act as internal change agents in support of various environmental improvement initiatives.
Host organisations benefit from having a specifically trained intern with innovative ideas and approaches working on greenhouse gas abatement and reporting, as well as other sustainability, programs, whilst students gain invaluable experience and contacts.
