Green Steps @ Work Professional Development

Green Steps' @ Work professional development program is an award-winning environmental sustainability training course focused on developing employees' capacity to run effective sustainability programs within their organisation. The course is ideal for:

• People wanting to develop their sustainability skills and knowledge within their current workplace;
• People looking to make a career shift to the rapidly growing sustainability sector.

The program consists of four days of training, a work-based project carried out over 6 weeks, and a half day project report back.

• Green Steps @ Work Sydney:  14 September 2012

Green Steps @ Work is accredited under theVocational Education and Training scheme, providing successful participants with a certificate in 'Designing and Implementing Environmental Programs'. Upon completing the professional development program you will also receive a Green Steps certificate and become part of our alumni network of over 700 graduates around Australia creating change in a wide range of industries and workplaces. 

Costs

The Green Steps @ Work professional development program costs $1,800 plus GST, in most cases paid for by your employer. Discounts are available for early registrations and for groups of staff attending from one organisation.

A limited number of places are also available at a not-for-profit or individual rate (for those unable to receive financial support from their employer). To find out more about our costs and availability, please contact us.

For this fee, selected participants receive:

• Four and a half days of intensive training from two trainers working in sustainability roles. This includes full catering in a central training venue.
• Completed plans for your organisation: Organisational Map, Problem Map, Behaviour Change Project Plan, Action List, Prioritised Actions, Sustainability Action Plan, Workplace Project Plan.
• All training materials and a Participant Resource Kit, including auditing templates and spreadsheets.
• Support implementing a workplace project in your workplace over a six week period.
• An implemented sustainability project in your workplace and a Workplace Project Report for your employer. 
• Vocational Education and Training certificate in 'Designing and Implementing Environmental Programs' (if assessment requirements are met). 
• Green Steps @ Work certificate and use of Green Steps on your CV and LinkedIn profile. 
• Membership of Green Steps' alumni network of 700+ people implementing sustainability projects and access to an Alumni LinkedIn Group, regular alumni events and professional development opportunities.
