James discusses resource scarcity, food price volatility, gender injustice and how this relates to climate change and some carbon offset and biofuel projects.
James Ensor is Director of Public Policy and Outreach, Oxfam Australia. James' areas of responsibility include: public policy, research, advocacy, political engagement, popular campaigning, youth engagement and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples' program. James joined Oxfam Australia in 1997 and was responsible for managing overseas development projects. He was appointed Director of Public Policy and Outreach in October 2001. Previously, James spent seven years with the Central Land Council in the Northern Territory representing the interests of Indigenous landowners. He is a member of the BHP Billiton Forum on Corporate Responsibility and is past president of the Victorian National Parks Association.
Janet discusses what social sustainability is and how it applies to the Tertiary Education Sector. She also discusses how social sustainability can be measured and monitored.
